Slayer

Slayer is a skill based upon completing quests requiring one to slay numerous Monsters. Monsters in the new Slayer maps can only be damaged by players with the required Slayer levels. Slayer equipment and weapons also have Slayer level requirements.

Getting Started

Accept the quest from the quest board in Aracia next to the Witch. You can then travel to the Elemental Citadel by dying and talking to Death selecting the "( )" option or using the portal in the southeast corner of Aracia. Then, you must talk to Slayermaster Freaga in the southeast area of the Citadel.

This quest requires the player to travel to the Ticket Man below the Mini-Game Area in Blena to purchase a 20k Ticket. Store the ticket in the bank to prevent it from being dropped when travelling to Death. There is a bank in Elemental Citadel where the ticket can be retrieved. The quest reward is a (T1) Slayer Key, which unlocks the starts of the player's journey to become a Slayermaster. "Be wary, the chests are known key thieves." If you need more Slayer Keys they can be purchased from any of the four Slayermasters using coins, Souls, Slayer Trophies, and Soulstone. The Slayer Keys are used at the circle of chests in Elemental Citadel.

There are seven tiers of quests unlocked at Combat Level 1, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 and 100 Slayer. Each tier chest gives a quest randomly from a series of quests in that tier. Quest Rewards are a Slayer Key and Slayer Crate of that tier. The Slayer Crate is opened with the Slayer Key and has a chance to give a Slayer Scrawling (Scroll, Omnibus, or Codex depending on tier). The Slayer Scrawling provide Slayer Experience when used, which is how players level this skill.
